Area residents are invited to meet and hear the candidates running for Assembly Districts 33, 38 and 43 at a debate on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, beginning at 6:30pm.
The Fort Atkinson, Jefferson and Watertown Chambers of Commerce and the American Association of University Women, in cooperation with WFAW 940AM and the Daily Jefferson County Union are event sponsors. WFAW News Director Michael Clish will moderate.
The debate will begin at 6:30pm in Jefferson in the Puerner Room on the third floor of the Fort Community Credit Union, located at 100 North Main Street. Parking is available in the rear of the building. Light refreshments will be provided by members of the American Association of University Women.
Participating in the debate are Representative Cody Horlacher of District 33, and challenger Brandon White. District 38 candidates include Barbara Dittrich and Melissa Winker, and District 43 candidates are Representative Don Vruwink and challenger Gabriel Szerlong. Representative Vruwink cannot attend due to a prior commitment.
Citizens are welcome to submit questions ahead of time to the three chambers of commerce, the Daily Union, or to WFAW. Guests in attendance at the debate will also have the opportunity to submit questions, as time allows.
The event is open to the public. Those unable to attend in person are welcome to listen to the live broadcast on WFAW, or read the coverage in the Daily Union the following day. The forum podcast can also be accessed on the WFAW website at www.940WFAW.com.
