Blood Drive at HSJC

We’re partnering with the Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin to host a human blood drive on Friday, November 15th, from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the shelter. Versiti’s partner hospitals in our area continue to face critical blood shortages, with some blood types available for less than a day’s supply—posing serious risks for local patients in need. Your donation can make a life-saving difference in our community! Versiti has also teamed up with Abbott and the Big Ten Network for an exciting competition through December 6th! Alumni, students, and fans of UW-Madison can help Wisconsin win the title of top Big Ten school in blood donation, while contributing to the fight against the largest blood shortage in a generation. Real-time results are tracked at Big Ten’s competition page. One lucky donor will even win tickets and pregame field access to the 2024 Discover Big Ten Football Championship Game on December 7th.
