A movie star who is terrified of the military draft, promises his fiancée, the general's daughter, that he will join the army. He attempts to dodge the service with the help of his agent and publicist, but their efforts only get him unintentionally enlisted. He must then survive basic training and a series of misadventures in the military while desperately trying to avoid getting caught by his general father-in-law.
