Open House to Celebrate East Elementary Renovations

The School District of Jefferson invites the community to an open house celebrating the completion of construction and renovations at East Elementary on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The event will give community members the chance to see firsthand the results of the 2022 Capital Facilities Referendum projects. The celebration will begin with a brief presentation in the newly renovated gymnasium, followed by guided tours of the updated spaces. We will provide pizza as a light hors d'oeuvres for our guests, and we will have a limited number of engraved pieces of original slate to give away. Attendees will have the opportunity to see how the district's commitment to creating a safer, more modern learning environment has been put into action. "We are excited to thank our community for their support and share the results of their investment in our schools," said Charles Urness, School District of Jefferson Superintendent. "We look forward to celebrating these enhancements that will offer our students a significantly enhanced and safer educational environment." The community is also welcome to stay for the regular School Board meeting, which will be held in the newly updated library at East Elementary at 6:00 p.m. The district encourages all community members, including students, staff, and families, to attend and celebrate the positive impact of these projects.
