FCCU Donates to the Jefferson Food Pantry Through Employee Charitable Contributions

Jefferson, WI- Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU) is proud to announce a donation of $909.09 to the Jefferson Food Pantry, supporting its mission to provide nutritious food, essential household items, and compassionate support to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in Jefferson and the surrounding communities.

The donation was raised through FCCU’s new employee charitable giving program, which allows team members to voluntarily contribute a portion of their paychecks to local nonprofit organizations. In its inaugural year, the program supported 11 local organizations selected for their meaningful impact on the wellbeing of the communities FCCU serves.

The Jefferson Food Pantry was chosen as one of the program’s first-year beneficiaries. The organization plays a vital role in strengthening the Jefferson community by ensuring that residents have reliable access to healthy food, offering support during times of financial hardship, and working to reduce hunger through community partnership and outreach. By providing groceries, personal care items, and resource connections, the pantry helps families meet basic needs with dignity.

“We are deeply grateful to the Fort Community Credit Union team for choosing to support our work through their employee giving program,” said Mary Jo Shackelford of the Jefferson Food Pantry. “This contribution helps ensure that our neighbors facing food insecurity have access to nutritious food, essential household items, and compassionate support. FCCU’s commitment to investing in the wellbeing of our community truly strengthens the work we do every day.”

FCCU’s employee giving program reflects the credit union’s cooperative values and its commitment to empowering team members to make a direct and positive impact in their own communities. By combining employee contributions with FCCU’s support, the program amplifies the reach of local nonprofits addressing critical community needs.
