Fort Community Credit Union | New Beginnings APFV Donation

The Chamber is proud to recognize Fort Community Credit Union (FCCU) and their donation of $909.09 to New Beginnings APFV, supporting its mission to provide safety, support, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking.

The donation was made possible through FCCU’s new employee charitable giving program, which allows team members to voluntarily contribute a portion of their paychecks to local nonprofit organizations. In its inaugural year, the program supported 11 organizations selected for their meaningful and lasting impact on the wellbeing of the communities FCCU serves.

“New Beginnings is deeply grateful for the continued support of FCCU and its employees. This support has a meaningful and lasting impact on our work within the community,” said Suzi Schoenhoft, Executive Director of New Beginnings. “Because feelings of shame, blame, and embarrassment often prevent individuals from reporting violent crimes, crimes that affect people of all ages, genders, and socioeconomic backgrounds, it takes great courage for survivors to come forward. The funds provided allow us to offer cost-free individual and group support services to community members who have been affected by violent crime. These issues touch us all, we all know someone.”

Thank you FCCU, for your continued support of our community!
