We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Intervention & Library Support Paraprofessional. This unique role combines providing targeted instructional support to students in reading.
Job Goal: To provide appropriate instructional assistance to classroom teachers and/or direct instruction to small groups in reading and/or math, while also supporting the library media center through clerical tasks, technical assistance, and collection maintenance.
Duties May Include:
- Providing direct small-group intervention in reading and/or math to students of all grade levels.
- Offering direct instructional support to assist classroom teachers.
- Planning direct small group instruction with the support of the classroom teacher and/or specialist.
- Collecting and maintaining student progress monitoring data.
- Maintaining the library media collection, including ordering/processing, shelving, repairing, and assisting with print and non-print inventory.
- Supervising students in the library media center
- Preparing displays in library media center
- Coordination of Battle of the Books and supporting STEM clubs
- Assisting students and staff with location and use of library media materials and equipment
- Other Supervision duties
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 6.75 hour per day (7:45 am - 3:00 pm)
School-year position, student days only.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to assist students in learning and to work cooperatively with professional staff, supervise and interact with students effectively, organize time and materials effectively, and assist in any of the school activities throughout the building, on the playground and on school-sponsored trips.
